Technical Assistance for Home Improvements

The PNHS' Technical Assistance Program for Home Improvements will provide inspection and technical assistance services to homeowners in the City of Philadelphia, on a fee for service basis. To qualify for this program, the property must be owner occupied.

The benefits of the program are:

  • Phase 1:

    • includes cost for work write-ups

    $300 for work write-ups for amounts up to $25,000 including home inspection

    $450 for work write-ups for amounts above $25,001 including home inspection

    Preparation of work write-up and cost estimate

    Submission of work write-up to homeowner for review and approval

    Preparation of documents for contractor solicitation and bidding.

  • Phase 2:

    • $150 includes Bid project to qualified contractors

    Analyze and recommend changes in the scope of services to bring contractor bid into alignment with available funds

    Develop contract documents.

  • Phase 3:

    • $100 per invoice includes work inspection for satisfactory completion.

    PNHS will produce a punch list including any recommendations as required following each inspection. All fees are to be paid in advance.
